Once your article has been accepted for publication, we will do our part in making sure that it reaches as many people as possible. In addition to posting your work on our site, we share most of our posts on our Facebook and Twitter pages, as well as Google plus and Linkedin. Published posts will also stay live on our beauty and grooming blog section of our site.

4)   You will be writing about things you are passionate about

If you don’t work within the beauty and grooming industry but spend your spare time reading and writing about it, it’s time to post that content for the world to see! If you are looking to test your success in a different area of business than what you are used to, simply writing on our site could enable you to grow your passion and turn it into something bigger than just a hobby.

Get in touch with us, discuss your ideas and we can then talk about deadlines (which you create yourself!)

Since we do not compensate writers for posts, we are more than happy to include a brief bio with a link to you website, Facebook and Twitter accounts (which we promote when the site goes live). Bios must only be 2-3 sentences.

How to contribute to Lypsso’s content

Blog posts guidelines

1 – Choosing the topic

Choosing the topic may not be the easiest, but we recommend that you think of the following questions before you get started:

• Has my topic already been covered on Lypsso?

All of our content is unique and original. We will not accept posts that are already or will be published in other sites, even if it’s from your own site.

If it has already been covered, perhaps you can elaborate on what already has been published. If not, please choose a different topic.

• Is my topic going to contribute in any way to those daily beauty or grooming concerns that men and women face?

Your post can tackle these needs with tips, advice or information around beauty, grooming, health, diet, lifestyle or sports.

• Is my post going to be inspiring, educational or informative?

Lypsso’s content is informative, educational and positive. If you can’t follow this guideline, we will not consider your submission.

• Am I going to be able to offer tips that are actionable?

Make sure that readers are going to be able to implement the actions for themselves after reading your post. The best way to go about this is by giving short, clear and concise instructions on how to perform your tips so that the reader knows exactly what to do.

• Will it have a great title and first paragraph?

You will engage the reader during the first 10 seconds of reading your post. Make sure that the first few lines are catchy, original and informative. You need to captivate the reader by offering an attractive topic that will make their lives easier.

2 – About writing the content

When you are ready to write the post, please bear the following in mind:

Word count:	Between 300 and 900 words.
Tone:	Personal, positive, informative.
SEO:	We will not publish SEO-driven posts. This includes posts made with an effort of linking keywords, products, your bio references, and brand or businesses names to boost SEO.
Claims:	All references to statistics or studies must be referenced. This will also help our readers to find more information on the topic if it’s of their interest.
Posts for DIY recipes:	Please make sure that you include the following information in the post: ingredients, instructions on how to make the recipe and the benefits of using this recipe. Videos to explain the recipe are welcomed too!
Beauty posts:	Lypsso focuses on offering solutions to beauty concerns for our users. Our content is very varied and although we don’t have strict guidelines on the type of posts featured, they will need to relate to what Lypsso is about. Our content focuses on many different topics within beauty and we find that posts relating to beauty concerns and solutions do very well. For example; beauty routines (including DIY recipes), beauty problems and health/lifestyle posts. Photo submission is not necessary for our beauty posts, unless you are focusing your topic on beauty/make up tutorials such as before and after pictures. The photo should be original, of you or your model wearing the look or using the products you are writing about. Be aware that your reader is familiar with beauty products but is new to detailed application and creation.
Grooming posts:	Our grooming posts are very varied and although we don’t have strict guidelines on the type of posts featured, they will need to relate to what Lypsso is about. Our content focuses on many different topics within grooming and we find that posts relating to grooming concerns and solutions do very well. For example; grooming routines (including DIY recipes), grooming problems and health/lifestyle posts. Photo submission is not necessary for our grooming posts, unless you are focusing your topic on specific grooming tutorials such as before and after pictures. The photo should be original, of you or your model using the products you are writing about. Be aware that your reader is familiar with grooming products but is new to detailed application and creation.

3 – Picture guidelines

We encourage you to add pictures to your post. Please make sure that you own the pictures and that they follow these guidelines:

Minimum size:	400 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall or 600 pixels wide by 400 pixels tall
Format:	Landscape or squared.
Lightening and format:	Neutral dishes and backgrounds work best. Photos should be taken on a clean, natural surface or background. When outdoors picture, in natural light, and ideally with as few distractions in the background as possible.

We love receiving your posts with tips and advice on beauty and grooming. They are very valuable to Lypsso’s users and our community and we want to thank you for submitting your post.

A team member will send you an email to confirm that we have accepted your post. It shouldn’t take us more than 10 days to do so. Please note that we reserve the right to make edits on the post.

Send us only one post per email. If you want to submit more posts, you can do so, but send it in different emails. And please note that we do not guarantee that they will all be published at the same time; as there are more contributors that want to see their posts published too. We will decide the order in which we publish them.
